Activities
Kvitsøy is not only for fishermen. You can stroll around and look at the farming and the birds, or take the boat to one of the 365 small islands that Kvitsøy consists of.
The view of Leiasundet is magnificent. Kvitsøy boasts the oldest carved stone cross in Norway, it has a lobster museum a lighthouse and an old church. A guide can be hired on demand. The nice little ferry trip to the mainland makes Kvitsøy a good starting point for trips to Stavanger and Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), and other interesting places in the area.
You can be in Stavanger in less than an hour. The trip to the parking at Pulpit rock takes less than 2,5 hours. From there there is a 2-hour walk.
Kvitsøy is a small community nice for children due to very limited car traffic. However, in this house little children should wear a lifevest at all times.
