A classic Norwegian farmhouse, meticulously restored but equipped with all modern amenities. The view is strikingly beautiful. A short walk to the pier where the boat is moored. A 15 foot boat with outboard engine holds 4 people and can be hired.
4 bicycles are available for free use. The local roads a picturesque, and cars are scarce.
Do not miss the opportunity to go for hikes in the area.
If you are lucky you will see deer grazing in the fields, and you will definitely meet the landlady's hens. Fresh eggs are certainly available.
Still, there is more to Etne than fishing. It is located strategically between Hardanger in the north and Ryfylke in the south. This means that Trolltunga and Preikestolen both can be reached on day trips if you get up early.
It is also near the main east-west route between Oslo and Haugesund.
A number of festivals, shows and fairs can be reached from Etne during summer. See below for more information.
