#579 Cabin in the woods, Surnadal

This lovely log cabin is located in Nordmarka in Surnadal. Nearly in the middle between Trondheim, Kristiansund and Åndalsnes. The scenery here is equally beautiful summer and winter. You can usually go skiing from the doorstep until May.

In summer you can go hiking or fishing. The landlord also has a canoe for rent. The autumn is great for picking mushrooms and berries. If you go the right direction it is possible to walk nearly 70 kms before crossing a road

The centre of Surnadal is but 8-9 kms away and the drive to Trondheim takes about 2,5 hours.

Normally there is a 150 m walk from the parking to the cabin. However during winter, snow is not always cleared all the way. This causes a walk of close to 2 kms.

The cabin is relatively new, but built in the old  style with massive log walls. Cold running water is installed. No shower. The toilet is a chemical type and in addition there is an outhouse.
