Among the farm buildings at Haugen Gard in Eksingedalen, you will find Gardshuset. Neatly connected to the farm house itself, it is the most central building. Summer or winter is equally nice. It is great for hiking anyway. In winter you can ski in and out. Cross country skiing for every level from expert to novice. In summer one can go hiking, or go fishing in the lake which is only one kilometer from the house. A rowing boat is included. Also in summer, there are several construction roads in the mountains, open for traffic. Here you can drive until the snow stops you. Yes, when you get high enough there will be snow almost all summer.

In a small lake nearby there is a 14 feet rowing boat to use free of charge.

Farming

Haugen Fjellgård keeps domestic animals, mainly cattle and sheep. When the animals are grazing during the summer season, we start cutting grass to make hay for the animals for the winter time. This is a fun activity you can take part in.
